What are multi vision lenses?
As the name suggests, they allow for multiple focus. Providing clear vision at all distances within one lens. Seamlessly transitioning from far to mid distance to close-up. (They are also known as varifocal or progressive lenses).
Why are they for you?
If you find it hard to see clearly at different distances these are ideal. All you need in one pair of glasses. No switching between pairs. Simple.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Multi vision lenses are also called varifocal lenses or progressive lenses. All three terms describe lenses that gradually change prescription from distance at the top to reading at the bottom, allowing smooth transitions between distances.
Multi vision lenses use advanced digital surfacing technology to gradually adjust the lens power from:
- Top of the lens – distance vision like for driving, watching TV
- Middle of the lens – intermediate vision like for computer screens
- Bottom of the lens – near vision like for reading, phone use
There are no visible lines, just a smooth, natural transition.
Multi vision lenses give you clear vision at different distances but don’t automatically reduce glare. Adding our Diamond AR coating onto multi vision lenses will help minimise glare and improve visual clarity.
You can also add a blue light filter to our DT Define MV lens to help minimise exposure to blue-violet light from screens, which may help ease eye strain and support visual comfort during long hours of digital use.
Most wearers adapt within a few days to two weeks. Because the prescription gradually changes within the lens, your eyes and brain need a short adjustment period. Premium designs like DT Define MV can offer wider vision areas and reduced distortion, making adaptation easier.
